Improving the discoverability of negative results in biomedical research

Journal of Negative Results in BioMedicine(JNRBM) supports the idea that scientists should be provided with balanced information which can offer a more complete scientific record, thereby reducing the risk ofpublication biasor laterrebuttal of research. In addition to this, itpromotesthe discussion of unexpected and provocative negative results in the context of current tenets, and ultimately aims to encourage scientists and physicians of all fields to publish results that challenge current models or dogmas.

In order to enhance the discoverability of these negative data which span the spectrum of biomedical research, JNRBM has implemented‘subject browsing’, which now enables readers to browse high-quality negative results within a particular sub-discipline. Amongst theareasattracting the most publications areGenetics,Neuroscience,Cell BiologyandPharmacology.
