Yesterday,Genome Medicine, BioMed Central’s premier medical journal, announced its upcoming January 2009 launch at a special reception held at the58th Annual American Society of Human Genetics(ASHG) meeting, Philadelphia, USA.

The reception, sponsored byAgilent Technologies, was held at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel with champagne and canapés. Guests included Editorial Board members, Alan Wright (University of Edinburgh) and Amy L McGuire (Baylor College of Medicine); past President of the American Society of Human Genetics, Wylie Burke, as well asthe Director of the Center for Research on Genomics and Global Health (NHGRI), Charles N Rotimi.
